LAS VEGAS (CBS/AP) Vince Neil, the lead singer of Motley Crue, was arrested in Las Vegas on a drunk driving charge, say police.

The rock star is being held at the Clark County jail pending a court appearance after his arrest early Monday. It wasn't immediately clear if Neil, 49, had an attorney. Las Vegas police officer Barbara Morgan confirmed the arrest, but said she didn't immediately have details.

The pop-metal band Motley Crue found international fame in the 1980's with hits including "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Home Sweet Home."
