(CBS/AP) DETROIT - Three men and a woman have been charged in the brutal beating of a 64-year-old man that was caught on camera at an east side Detroit gas station.
The Wayne County prosecutor's office says Donrico Hawkins, 32, was ordered held on a $1 million bond after being arraigned Friday for assault with intent to do great bodily harm.
According to CBS Detroit, Cortez Hawkins, 31, and Juan Hawkins, 32, are also charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm and felonious assault. It wasn't clear Friday if the defendants are related to one another or have attorneys.
Dominique Neal, 28, is charged with being an accessory after the fact.
Surveillance video shows the victim being punched, kicked and stomped as he lay on the pavement on September 23. A 58-year-old acquaintance of the victim also was attacked when he tried to intervene, according to the station.
Donrico Hawkins reportedly left the scene on foot while Cortez and Juan Hawkins were picked up from the scene by Neal.
The station reports the victim was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries.
