Twitter shown to be faster than earthquakes in tongue-in-cheek video

(CBS) - A notable achievement of technology in the aftermath of last week's earthquake was the speed at which the information hit the Internet. The information actually traveled so fast that some people were aware of the earthquake before it even reached them as this amusing video by Twitter points out.

While tongue-in-cheek, it does point out a very real phenomenon in terms of technology today and reinforces a belief I've stated here on The Feed before: we are living in the future!

Well, except for the hoverboard I've been waiting over 20 years for now... when is someone finally going to make that "Back to the Future 2" technology a reality?!
