"True Blood" season five premieres Sunday
(CBS News) The highly anticipated season premiere of "True Blood," which mixes romance and suspense in a world where humans co-exist with vampires, is set to air Sunday on HBO.

At the conclusion of season four Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) had a climactic battle with Debbie the werewolf (Brit Morgan.. While Sookie remained victorious, her showdown with Debbie may have had fatal consequences for Tara.
In Sunday's premiere, Sookie and Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) struggle with the aftermath of Tara's shooting, while Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) have their own problems to deal with when they are visited by the Vampire Authority.
In its first four seasons, the series has racked up dozens of Emmy, Golden Globe and Grammy (soundtrack album) nominations and has won an Emmy for casting. Oscar winner Anna Paquin, who plays Louisiana barmaid Sookie, won a Golden Globe in 2009.Since the show started in 2008, she and co-star Stephen Moyer have married and they now are expecting their first child.
"True Blood" will air Sunday, Jun 10, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
