Tim Allen: Still Toolin' Around

Tim Allen has spent the last eight years playing Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor on the hit television series Home Improvement.

But with the show ending in May, the 46-year-old actor started a series of new projects. And as CBS News This Morning Correspondent Jose Diaz-Balart reports, his most recent endeavor is a line of signature tools. The proceeds will go to charity.

AllenÂ's role as the accident-prone cable host in Home Improvement will be missed by many faithful fans, but he says the show will always be an integral part of his life.

"Now...it's a little bit behind me, although I'll never be completely away from it. It's been a huge part of my life," says the Colorado native.

His line of hand and power tools includes hammers, roto tools, and screwdrivers designed for even the most unhandy man. All profits from the Tim Allen Signature Tools Collection will benefit children's organizations.

Allen is also busy building his movie career. In new film Galaxy Quest, he plays a star commander who teams up with actress Sigourney Weaver.

"Boy, she's a beautiful woman," says Allen. "I get to kiss her. Oh, yeah!"

And, Allen is also reprising his role as the voice of spaceman doll Buzz Lightyear in the upcoming Toy Story II.
