This Week: Hot, Hot, Hot
The dog days of summer are finally here — and as the weather reaches a boiling point, so does the temperature in Hollywood.
As the sweltering week kicked off, Paris Hilton and Aussie surfer Tyler Atkins became a hot topic when a report surfaced that they were "making out like teenagers" at a party. Turns out the hottie is just teaching the heiress how to surf, her rep told The ShowBuzz.
Lindsay Lohan was hot to trot on the club scene following her release from rehab on Sunday. But this time she was wearing what is becoming a hot new Hollywood accessory: an alcohol monitoring bracelet. A rep said that she's wearing it on her own accord.
But by Thursday, Lohan was feeling the heat when she was booked at the Beverly Hills Police Department on suspicion of driving under the influence in connection with a car crash over Memorial Day weekend. She was released on her own recognizance, according to reports.
Hot momma Katie Holmes stepped out at the "Hairspray" premiere on Monday sans her other half, Tom Cruise. The actress walked the red carpet in support of her pal and "Mad Money" costar Queen Latifah.Photos: "Hairspray" In New York

Not far behind was Paula Abdul, who attended the same premiere with a hot new somebody — architect TJ Torregiani. Abdul told Matt Lauer the next day that her love life is indeed heating up. "It's looking upwards. Things are good right now," she said.
TV's hot list was revealed on the West Coast this week. It was announced during the press tour for critics that Isaiah Washington, Linus Roache and Donald Trump will be appearing to TV in the fall.
On Thursday, James Gandolfini, Edie Falco, Kiefer Sutherland and Charlie Sheen were among the Emmy nominees announced at a news conference. After a hot-button final season, "The Sopranos" scored 15 nominations — more than any other TV series.
Comedian Dave Chappelle wasn't feeling so hot this week when he walked into an emergency room seeking treatment. "It was exhaustion; he had been traveling," a rep told The Associated Press. "He's fine."
Things got so intense during Kelly Rowland's performance at a festival in Nigeria on Sunday that the singer collapsed from dehydration. In an e-mail, a rep told The ShowBuzz that "Rowland was taken to an undisclosed Lagos hospital for a check-up and is in good condition at present."
A heated exchange between comedians Jon Lovitz and Andy Dick made news this week. The New York Post reported that Laugh Factory owner Jamie Masada witnessed Lovitz pick up Dick by the head and repeatedly smash him into the bar.
A feud between the pair was ignited nearly a decade ago when Dick once drunkenly told Lovitz that he put the "Phil Hartman hex" on him and that he was the next one to die. Comedian Phil Hartman was killed in 1998 by his wife, who later shot herself.
The Humane Society got hot under the collar at pop tart Britney Spears this week because she recently added a furry friend to her family.
"The Humane Society of the United States is extremely concerned not only that the pop star purchased a dog from a pet store, but also that she apparently took very little time to make such a major decision," said a release given to The ShowBuzz by the Humane Society.
Spears got so hot and bothered this week that she stripped down to her bra and underwear and took a dip in the ocean as a gaggle a photographers snapped away. Celebrity Web site X17 published the shots.
