You can throw it out the window, have a cat spew up over it or drop it in the ocean, and still recover what's on it. The second message is, imagine how much data you throw away assuming noone will be able to get to it.
Adrian Briscoe, APAC General Manager for Kroll Ontrack, takes us through the top 10 data disasters, all of which have a happy ending. I ask him to describe the best way of destroying data that you really want to get rid of. The answer isn't very hi-tech!
