The Feedback: Weekly Music Updates!

(CBS) - Hope you brought your Thursday appetite because it is time for "The Feedback."

I'm going to start this week off with a sort of re-post. A little more than a week ago I posted Linkin Park's cover of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep." Well they decided to take it one step further and perform the cover at the iTunes music festival in London a few days back, absolutely killing it.

Just goes to show you how incredible this Adele's track really is, as Chester from Linkin Park said before performing this "We're going to do something that we usually don't do; covering some other artist's song." Well, they don't just cover it, they possibly even made Adele a wee bit jealous, although that feat may be a bit hard given the year Adele has had.

Uploaded earlier today is the new music video for "The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala" by the Arctic Monkeys. Although probably one of the least likely Arctic Monkeys songs to get a video if you had to pick, especially due to its hellish name. Nothing particularly notable on the video itself (nothing to like or dislike about it), but it is a real solid song and the hanging out and rocking in different cities video definitely fits the vibe.

With the chart topping singles of "The Show Goes On" and "Words I Never Said" Ft. Skylar Grey, Lupe's new album Lasers is straight fire. Throw "Out of My Head" on top of that, and Lupe is definitely doing something right.

His video featuring Trey Songs is your standard Pop/RnB/Hip-Hop video, just standing on top of a roof singing and walking through the day. Still a solid video, while nothing extra-ordinary, but the song itself doesn't need the extra help. With the solid verses from Lupe and the catchy Songs hook, you've got yourself a certified hit.

For all the slack Bono gets sometimes, he just erased it all in my mind. At a recent concert held down in Nashville, TN, the U2 lead called up a member of the audience, a blind man who is also a guitarist.

Outfitted with a U2 guitar, he plays alongside Bono for over three minutes to "All I Want Is You." I am pretty amazed that this guy was able to keep his composure and play the song in its entirety. It's a truly touching video, plus at the end Bono gives him a pretty sweet souvenir. What a memory and story that will be to tell!

Last up is a really cool albeit short cover of "You're Gonna Miss Me" by Lulu and the Lampshades. Armed with only her voice, hands and a cup, the unique percussion and vocals pairing from the original is expertly recreated by the singer, Anna. If you would like to hear more of her impressive vocals, she has put out a bunch of covers that have all gotten great responses and can be found here on her Youtube channel.

That's it for this week, but if you would like more music updates be sure to check me out on NotSomeKid for daily posts of songs you need to hear.
