The "Deadpool" red band trailer is finally here

The Merc with a Mouth is finally hitting the big screen - figuratively, not literally.

Last night on "Conan," Ryan Reynolds visited with Conan O'Brien alongside the broadcast debut of the "Deadpool" red band trailer. Watch the trailer, but beware - it's definitely NFSW.

Reynolds plays Wade Wilson, who turns into Deadpool in the upcoming origin story film.

Deadpool, a comic book cult favorite of superhero fans, is an anti-hero well-known for his unpredictability, eccentric sense of humor, and tendency to break the fourth wall.

So it only made sense that "Conan" aired a sketch with Deadpool giving the late night host a massage of panda tears. Afterward Reynolds went on the show to discuss creating "Deadpool" and how Deadpool once saved Conan's life. Sort of.

Earlier this summer, Reynolds told a Comic-Con audienceabout 20th Century Fox's willingness to greenlight the film.

"For one, I think it's an absolute miracle that a studio let us make 'Deadpool,' let alone a rated-R 'Deadpool,'" he said.

The film is so R-rated that Tuesday night's episode of "Conan" was rated TV-MA.

"Deadpool" hits theaters Feb. 12.
