"The Avengers" assemble in new poster

(CBS) The stars of "The Avengers" are all together in a new poster for the upcoming film.

The art, released Tuesday, features Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) posing, ready to fight, amidst a disaster-strewn New York City.

The poster's arrival comes a day before a new trailer for the film will be released. The clip will debut at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT.

The film, directed by Joss Whedon, will hit theaters in the U.S. on May 4.
