"Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans gets trial date for videotaped brawl

(CBS) - Jenelle Evans, of "Teen Mom 2" fame, is facing trial for her involvement in a March brawl that was caught on videotape, according to a report.

A Brunswick County, N.C. judge decided Tuesday that the reality star, charged with simple assault and fighting, will have a one day trial on July 22, reports entertainment news site E! Online.

Evans reportedly fought another woman in North Carolina in March while her friends cheered her on. After it was posted online, the footage caught the eye of the Brunswick County District Attorney's Office.

Evans, who is in a rehab facility in Malibu, did not attend court to hear the decision. Evans' lawyer Dustin Sullivan reportedly told E! News that the judge set the trial date to accommodate his client's stay in rehab.

Sullivan told the entertainment site that Evans is doing "very well" and had entered rehab to "address some issues that were not ordered by the court."

Evans is no stranger to legal trouble. She has been charged with drug possession, and on March 7 she was in court to answer to charges of breaking and entering, injury to real and personal property, second degree trespass and harassment.
