Summer in the City: Dallas

We had a great time in "Big D" this morning with Kelly Rowland! It was a beautiful morning in Dallas and it didn't even get steamy until about 7 a.m.! Kelly Rowland gave a live, early morning concert for our "Summer in the City" tour. She was really friendly and energetic. Plus, that girl takes wearing shorts to a whole new level! She has great legs and can really dance. Her second album, "Ms. Kelly," is perfect for that and also contains some heartfelt ballads.

Much of the album is co-written by Kelly herself. She told me the song "Still in Love with my Ex" might be about former fiancée Roy Williams of the Dallas Cowboys, but she was pretty coy. Also, she says she's feeling much better after collapsing onstage a few weeks ago in Nigeria. She got seriously dehydrated there, and she took great care to sit down between songs this morning and drink bottles of water. I had never met Kelly and was really impressed not only her talents, but her professionalism and sweet nature with the fans.

Now I'm back to New York for a concert at Madison Square Garden tonight with The Police! How's that for a fun day... bookended by two great concerts! What a life!
