Step Out in Low-Cost Style in January
Want to know where to find the best clothings and accessory sale items this January?
Fashion expert Katrina Szish, editor in chief of PinkMemo.com told where to get stylish goods at low prices, on "The Early Show."
Szish explained sales have started earlier this year in both clothing and accessories.
"Sales have started earlier and deep discounts have happened faster," she said. "Those 60 to 75 percent off signs are already up in many stores and websites, whereas in previous years they wouldn't have gone up for another few weeks. That means a lot of items are going faster than usual, so there's no time to waste if you're looking for great deals."
Szish suggested January shoppers should follow these tips:
• Snag it while you can! The bottom line: there's less merchandise (retailers stocked less inventory), bigger discounts and more serious shoppers.
• Most stores still have easy return policies, so it's better to buy and return than wait and miss out. There is less room for ruminating!
• Double check your discount. Read the signs, the coupons and the promotions and do the math before you get to the cash register. If there's an error, be sure to point it out.
