"Star Wars: Episode VII" is called "The Force Awakens"

"Star Wars: Episode VII" has officially gotten an official title.

Disney announced on its Twitter page Thursday that the upcoming film is called "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

The studio also announced that principal photography has wrapped on the J.J. Abrams-directed film -- meaning it's one step closer to getting seen by "Star Wars" fans when it hits theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
