TOWNSEND, Wis. (CBS/AP) A man may have been humming "You Were Meant For Me" when he stalked singer-songwriter Jewel at her Texas ranch last week.

Michael Lawrence Kozelka, who said he was on a mission from God, was arrested last week after he went to the Stephenville, Texas, ranch owned by Jewel's husband, rodeo champion Ty Murray, on two consecutive days, according to Erath County sheriff's officials.

Kozelka's sister says her brother is in need of help but hasn't responded to the family's attempts to contact him for nearly two years.

In a statement, Susan Richter said the stalking accusation has "shocked" her family. She apologized to Jewel and her husband on behalf of her brother.

The 50-year-old Townsend man remains in jail.
