Sleeping Airline Passenger Groped by Guy Next to Her, Say Feds
ATLANTA (CBS/AP) A 61-year-old Georgia man has been indicted after police say he fondled a 20-year-old woman on a Delta Air Lines flight as she slept.
The U.S. attorney's office in Atlanta said Wednesday that Ranchhodbhai Lakha, of Alpharetta, Ga. faces various sexual assault charges.
Investigators say that on a Sept. 28 Delta flight from Dallas to Atlanta, a 20-year-old woman sitting in the same row as Lakha fell asleep. She awoke to discover Lakha allegedly touching her below the waist. The woman removed Lakha's hand and told him to stop.
When Lakha tried to touch her again she told a flight attendant.
An FBI investigation shows Lakha may have been involved in other similar incidents, possibly in Alabama.
Other possible victims are encouraged to call the FBI.
