GREELEY, Colo. (CBS/AP) A Fort Lupton mother charged in the drowning of her 1-year-old son told police she was in the living room looking at Facebook while the boy was in the bathtub, according to an arrest affidavit.

The Weld County district attorney's office says 34-year-old Shannon Johnson has been charged with a felony count of child abuse, knowingly/recklessly causing death.

Johnson requested a public defender during a hearing Friday. She's being held on $100,000 bond.

An arrest affidavit obtained by Denver's KMGH-TV says Johnson told police she was looking at Facebook Sept. 20 when her son was in the bathtub.

An investigator says Johnson told him that she checked when she didn't hear him and he was sideways with his face in the water.
