Second Cup Cafe: Edwin McCain

Platinum-selling singer-songwriter Edwin McCain is a rare artist whose songs are as popular today as the day they were released.

Best-known for his Top Ten hit, "I'll Be," the South Carolina native has been swooning audiences across the nation since 1993.

His new track, "Broke Down Hearted Wonderland" is featured on the upcoming "The Last Song" movie based on Nicolas Sparks' novel, featuring Miley Cyrus.

The down-home, soulful singer/songwriter is set to release his greatest hits album, "The Best Of Edwin McCain," which includes a new single called, "Walk With You."

Although the song was supposedly written as a favor to a friend whose daughter was getting married, McCain says he was truly inspired by his own daughters. McCain and his wife have a son and three daughters.

McCain returned to "The Early Show Saturday Edition"'s "Second Cup Cafe" to perform his single, "Walk With You" and his romantic, classic hit that fueled him rise to the top, "I'll Be."

In 1997, "I'll Be" was featured in an episode of the wildly popular TV show, "Dawson's Creek." It then made the Top 10 and was voted one of The Greatest Love Songs Of All Time by VH1.

Fans will be delighted to hear that McCain doesn't show any signs of slowing down anytime soon. He touring schedule consists of 200-plus nights per year.
