School Bus Yard Shooting In San Jose

San Jose police say one person is dead and a woman is in custody after an early-morning shooting at a school bus yard. According to police, the shooter and the victims are bus drivers.

Officer Charles Soliday said several people were wounded in the incident, which began shortly after 6 a.m.

Police Sgt. Steve Dixon said as many as five people may have been shot. Two of the most seriously wounded were found in a barricaded office, he said.

Dispatchers who handled the 911 call could hear gunfire in the background as they were processing the report, he added. Dixon said no names were available, and he did not know what the motive for the shooting was.
