SAN DIEGO (AP) Mexican police are searching for the estranged husband of a slain San Diego City College student after finding his car in a Tijuana neighborhood.

Tijuana police say they found the blue 1999 Ford Mustang with California plates early Thursday and they believe Armando Gabriel Perez may be somewhere in the border city.

Perez has been named a "person of interest" in the 19-year-old woman's death.

A body was found in a men's restroom at the downtown campus late Tuesday night. Investigators are waiting for a fingerprint match but believe it is that of Diana Gonzalez, the National City mother of a 9-month-old girl.

Her family had reported her missing when she failed to meet them at the school for a ride home.
