Rod Stewart to pen memoir to reveal "socks and knickers under the bed"
(CBS) Rod Stewart thinks he has something to say to you. Soon you'll be able to read all the intimate details behind the life of the "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" singer.
Random House has bought the publishing rights to Stewart's yet-to-be-titled autobiography, which is set to be released in 2012.
"I thought long and hard before committing to write my book. It is a funny old thing telling my life story but I truly intend to hold nothing back," he said in a statement.
He's not the only musician telling his backstage story. Duran Duran bassist John Taylor, Neil Young, Courtney Love are also currently working on projects. And, recently, rapper Common's "One Day It Will All Make Sense," made it to the NY Times' Best Seller list."I've had quite a life, known some extraordinary people and had some amazing experiences. I've waited all this time, until my 50th year in the business and realize I can no longer put it off. Forget skeletons in the closet; this one's going to be socks and knickers under the bed," Stewart added.
