President Trump's first Cabinet meeting lights up social media

President Trump took to his favorite social media platform to post an image showing him welcome Cabinet members to the White House for their first meeting.

Vice President Mike Pence sat across the table from Mr. Trump.

The tweet reads: “Proud to welcome our great Cabinet members to the @WhiteHouse this afternoon with @VP Pence.”

White House press secretary Sean Spicer also marked another moment with Mr. Trump’s Cabinet as they watched him sign an executive order aimed at cutting costs of the federal government.

Mr. Trump used his personal twitter handle, @realDonaldTrump, to emphasize that four seats on his Cabinet were empty because “Senate Dems are delaying,” he wrote.

The four members of Mr. Trump’s Cabinet awaiting confirmation include nominees for agriculture secretary, labor secretary, Director of National Intelligence and the U.S. trade representative.

In the same Cabinet meeting on Monday, Spicer posted this alternate picture angle to Twitter:

A group of historians say that Mr. Trump’s Cabinet is the richest group in America’s history.

Betsy DeVos, picked for secretary of education, comes from a family worth more than $5 billion; Linda McMahon, picked for small business administrator, has family wealth worth $1.2 billion.
