Pregnant Woman and Child Among Five Dead in Houston Family Slay

BELLVILLE, Texas (CBS/AP) Five family members including a pregnant woman and her child were found dead in a home in Bellville, Texas and police have taken one person, reportedly the son of a victim, into custody.
A news release said deputies responded to a residence around 2:15 p.m. Sunday, and found the bodies of four adults and one child. Police have not released the names of the victims or the person taken into custody.
But family members told the Houston Chronicle that the victims included George Washington, 69, his wife Debra Washington, her daughter, son and grandchild, 2.
Investigators told CBS Houston affiliate KHOU that four bodies were found in the house and a fifth in a pond. A suspect was taken into custody on an unrelated charged but will be charged formally Tuesday, according to KHOU.
Texas Rangers are assisting the investigation.
Bellville is a town of about 4,000, located 55 miles northwest of Houston.
The area drew attention in August with the shooting death of a physician at his ranch. Two suspects were arrested days later and charged with killing Dr. Jorge Mario Gonzalez of Houston.
