Pompeo Gets A Ring For Her Birthday

Despite persistent man issues on her hit show "Grey's Anatomy," actress Ellen Pompeo seems to have her real love life sorted out.

The TV doc and her boyfriend, music producer Chris Ivery, got engaged on Friday over breakfast, her rep confirmed Monday. It was her 37th birthday.

Pompeo, who stars as Meredith Grey on the ABC show, is now sporting a 3.5-carat diamond in a platinum setting by Tacori, publicist Jennifer Allen confirmed.

The Boston natives grew up minutes away from each other, but didn't meet until pals introduced them in 2003, according to People magazine.

No word yet on when the couple plans to tie the knot.
