Police: Hells Angels funeral shooting suspect spotted in Bay Area

(CBS/AP) SAN JOSE, Calif. - A police spokesman says investigators have credible evidence that a member of the Hells Angels wanted in the fatal shooting of a fellow Hells Angel during a funeral is in the San Jose area.

Spokesman Jose Garcia says Steve Ruiz was spotted in San Jose sometime late Friday or Saturday.

Although Garcia would not provide specifics about the sighting, he said investigators believe the source was credible.

Police have been hunting for the 38-year-old Ruiz since Steve Tausan was shot and killed during a funeral service at Oak Hill Cemetery in San Jose on Oct. 15.

Garcia says Ruiz, a former resident of San Jose, has ties to Gilroy, Campbell and Fremont, California. Investigators believe he could be in any one of those cities.

Police say Ruiz is considered to be armed and dangerous.
