Ohio French Fry Freshness Dispute Leads to Police Response

Probably not as much as Robert A. Quillen, who reportedly got into a dispute at a McDonald's in Perkins, Ohio over the fast food staple that ended only when police arrived.

Authorities said that Quillen refused fries that were already waiting in their serving pouches at the restaurant in northern Ohio Sunday night.

The man claimed the fries were not fresh, but manager Sean Rine disagreed, reports the Sandusky Register.

According to the paper, Rine offered to give Quillen his money back, but the customer refused, saying he was not leaving till he got fresh fries for his wife.

That's when the police were called.

When police arrived, Quillen claimed an employee had hit with a mop. The Sandusky Register reports that a witness said the worker had only acted like he was going to hit the man and said the customer called the employee a derogatory name.

No charges were filed. Police say the man got his money back and left without fries - fresh or otherwise.
