Obama Campaigns in Missouri Today

From CBS News' Allison O'Keefe:

(SPRINGFIELD, MO.) - Barack Obama holds a town hall meeting in the battleground state of Missouri today, where he'll focus on domestic policy as he continues to move past his overseas trip that ended last week. Obama is expected to discuss green jobs, energy, and how to restore confidence in the U.S. economy, according to his campaign.

Later today, Obama will be in Union, Mo. - population 7,700 and located outside of St. Louis - for a bbq with about 200 people. In addition to speaking about economic issues, Obama is expected to flip burgers and serve up hot dogs.

Obama will be joined by Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., all day. There's been speculation that McCaskill is on Obama's list of possible running mates, even though she said recently that she has not been asked for any personal info from the campaign.

Yesterday, Obama spoke with Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and met in person with Fed chairman Ben Bernanke. Keep an eye on how Obama implements what he learned from those meetings to today's town hall meetings in towns that are suffering from high gas prices and the mortgage crisis.
