(CBS/AP) Police have arrested Terrence Alexis, a man they say threw bleach in the eyes of a New Orleans pizza delivery man, blinding him.

The Times-Picayune reports that the 19-year-old was arrested last week and booked with simple robbery and second-degree battery.

Police say the Domino's Pizza delivery man, whom they did not identify, walked up to the front door of a home on Feb. 3 and a man, identified as Alexis, told the driver to keep knocking and someone would answer.

Then, unexpectedly, police say Alexis allegedly splashed a cup of bleach into the delivery man's eyes, blinding him and stole the pizza.

Police say the driver's blindness is believed to be temporary, but that on Thursday he still could not see.
