Natalie Portman's "Black Swan" Trailer Debuts Online
NEW YORK (CBS) Based on the first trailer for "Black Swan," which debuted online Tuesday, it's safe to say that the ballet-themed flick will not be your average dance movie.
In the Darren Aronofsky-directed thriller, Natalie Portman stars as Nina, a rising star in the New York City ballet scene who's given the lead role in her company's production of "Swan Lake." Her position is threatened when a new dancer, Lily, played by Mila Kunis, enters the picture.
As the two develop a twisted relationship, Nina's life pirouettes out of control and is left to face a daunting question. Is her rival Lilly even real or just a delusion?
The last scene of the trailer provides a curiously chilling end as Portman pulls a tiny black feather from a wound on her back."Black Swan" also stars Vincent Cassel ("Ocean's Twelve"), Barbara Hershey ("The Last Temptation of Christ") and Winona Ryder.
The film is slated for a Dec. 1 release, but will first premiere on the opening night of this year's Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 1.
