NEW YORK (CBS) Miranda Kerr reportedly went into labor Friday morning.

A family member told the Australian Telegraph that the model, who is married to actor Orlando Bloom, went into labor in Los Angeles just days after having a false alarm.

"We did get a text on Boxing Day saying she had gone into labor but it was false alarm but I can confirm she did go into labor early this morning," an Australia-based family member told the paper. "I have been trying to get in touch with (Kerr's parents) but everyone's phones are going to message bank."

Kerr is believed to be having a boy after she was spotted shopping for baby clothes in Los Angeles recently, according to reports.

But the baby may have already arrived. X17.com is reporting that baby Bloom - a son - was born yesterday.

The model revealed her pregnancy in the September issue of the Spanish edition of Vogue, telling the magazine she was four months along.

Kerr, 27, and Bloom, 33, announced their engagement in June and married in July.
