Mikaela Shiffrin made her anticipated debut at the 2018 Winter Olympics on Thursday by taking home the gold, making her the third American to win two Alpine Olympic gold medals. And she's just getting started. While the 22-year-old skier missed the medal platform in slalom, she has another shot at medaling next week.

60 Minutes Sports met Shiffrin in 2014, a month before she won her first gold medal in Sochi. Correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi spoke with her at the Burke Mountain Academy in East Burke, Vermont, the ski school that made Shiffrin the racer she is today.
