Mighty Ducks Sign Goalie Lalime

The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim have signed goalie Patrick Lalime to a one-year contract with an additional year at the club's option. Terms were not disclosed.

Lalime, 24, spent last season with Grand Rapids of the International Hockey League, playing in 31 games and posting a 10-10-9 record with a 2.62 goals-against average.

Lalime played in 39 games for the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1996-97 season, posting a 21-12-2 record and a 2.94 goals-against average. He was acquired from the Penguins for center Sean Pronger five months ago.
