Michele Tafoya

CBS Sports Broadcaster Michele Tafoya joined the CBS Television Network in November 1994 as a reporter and host for college basketball and the Network's sports anthology show.

Tafoya, who calls play-by-play for the WNBA on Lifetime Television, has served as a reporter for the Network's coverage of college football, including the 1998 National Championship Orange Bowl, and was late night co-host of the 1998 Olympic Winter Games. She currently hosts At The Half®.

Tafoya previously worked for KFAN Radio in Minneapolis, where she was a reporter-host and sideline reporter for the NFL's Minnesota Vikings. In addition, she is a former analyst for the University of North Carolina-Charlotte men's basketball radio broadcasts (1993) and the University of Minnesota women's basketball radio broadcasts (1994).

Before joining KFAN, Tafoya hosted a sports-talk show on WAQS radio in Charlotte. Prior to that, she produced the morning drive show at KQLZ-FM in Los Angeles. She also served as a researcher at WRC-TV News, Washington, D.C.

After graduation from the University of California at Berkeley with honors and a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, Tafoya earned her master's degree in business administration at the University of Southern California. She was born Dec. 17, 1964, in Manhattan Beach, Calif., and lives in Eden Prairie, Minn.
