Michael Fassbender is the latest actor rumored to be up for the job of playing Steve Jobs.
Christian Bale had previously been considered for the part but has since moved on after passing up the role. Leonardo DiCaprio at one point was also interested in playing Jobs before deciding to take a break from acting.
"Jobs" will be directed by "Slumdog Millionaire" filmmaker Danny Boyle -- with a script written by Aaron Sorkin that was adapted from Walter Isaacson's biography, "Steve Jobs."
The film is expected to be divided into three sections -- each focusing on a critical stage in the tech pioneer's life.
Fassbender wouldn't be the first actor to step into Jobs' shoes. Noah Wyle previously played him in the 1999 TNT film "Pirates of Silicon Valley." In 2012, "Two and a Half Men" star Ashton Kutcher portrayed the title role in the independently-produced, "Jobs."
Fassbender will next be seen in "Assassin's Creed," due out Aug. 7, 2015.
