Melee Halts Rap Concert

About 12,000 fans who went to the Oakland Coliseum Friday night for a rap concert by the group Cash Money Millionaires did not get their money's worth, reports CBS News Correspondent Margie Shafer.

The concert was halted because fights broke out, but at least one concertgoer said that stopping the music only made matters worse. Shots were fired into the air. Chairs were tossed, punches galore were thrown, and someone was thrown off a balcony. At least 25 people were hurt, and two were hosptalized.

Authorities are investigating the two-hour melee that they say broke out when the crowd at the Coliseum rushed the arena floor.

At least 25 people were injured. No arrests were made because authorities focused on clearing the area.
