(CBS/AP)

CLEVELAND (CBS/AP) Cuyahoga County prosecutors indicted Maurice Lyons, 38, on aggravated murder charges, claiming that he stabbed his wife, Tonya Hunter, 17 times on July 25 in front of her 4-year-old son, then left the young boy near an intersection in Cleveland.

Lyons was also indicted on various other charges, including domestic violence, kidnapping and endangering children in connection with the July incident.

Prosecutors say Lyons terrorized Hunter in the days before her death - assaulting and threatening her as well as preventing the 42-year-old Ohio marriage counselor  from calling police.

Lyons is being held on $8 million bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday. An attorney who has represented him has said he has psychiatric issues.
