Maureen Maher
Correspondent, CBS Newspath
Maureen Maher was named a correspondent for CBS Newspath, the CBS News affiliate service, in September 1997. She is based in Chicago.
Maher joined CBS News from WJRT-TV Flint, Michigan, where she was morning anchor and a general assignment reporter (1995-97). In that role, she covered live breaking news including the Oklahoma City bombing and the Decker farm raid.
Prior to that, she was an anchor and general assignment reporter at WWJ-AM, the CBS owned station in Detroit, and at WJBK-TV Detroit (1992-95). She began her broadcast career at WLUW-FM as morning drive news anchor (1991-92).
Maher was born Dec. 3, 1967 outside Detroit, Michigan. She was graduated from Loyola University in 1991 with a bachelor of arts degree in communications.
