Man Charged in Sealy's Death
Prosecutors have charged a man with criminal vehicular homicide in last Saturday's head-on collision that killed Minnesota Timberwolves swingman Malik (muh-LEEK') Sealy.
The Hennepin County Attorney's office alleges that the 43-year-old Minneapolis man -- Souksangouane Phengsene -- had a blood-alcohol level of almost twice the legal limit.
Phengsene is charged with three counts of criminal vehicular homicide.
Authorities say he was driving his pickup truck the wrong way when he crashed into Sealy's sport utility vehicle on a highway in a Minneapolis suburb early last Saturday.
Test results showed that Phengsene had a blood-alcohol concentration of .19 -- nearly double Minnesota's legal limit of .10 percent.
Phengsene was hospitalized after the accident. He's scheduled to make his first court appearance tomorrow morning.
