Major Lazer's "Original Don" is a sword-swinging good time

(CBS) - Choreographed swordplay, dancehall beats, and a serious Napoleon Dynamite vibe all come together in this music video. Beat-makers Major Lazer have a gift for rocking dance songs and very, very strange videos. (Several of which we would love to link to but are decidedly NSFW.) We have no idea what anything going on in this video has to do with being an original don, but it is strangely captivating nonetheless.

Astute dancehall fans will notice one half of the Major Lazer team, the dj Diplo who first turned heads with M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes," makes a guest appearance. And then the traditional Chinese glaive is broken out as this beat-shifting tune hits high gear.

Astute viral video fans will probably remember this scene from a video The Feed posted a little while ago. We now know it was just a teaser for "Original Don" but it's cool enough in its own right to deserve another view.
