Love 5 Hours Late For Court Date
Courtney Love showed up more than five hours late to a Manhattan court appearance, and was scolded by a judge who said her tardiness was grounds for arrest.
"The rules apply to you as well as everybody else," Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson told the former Hole frontwoman Monday when she showed up at 3 p.m. for a scheduled 9:30 a.m. hearing.
Love, 39, faces charges of assault and reckless endangerment for allegedly hitting a fan with a microphone stand at a show in the East Village in March.
Her lawyer, Scott Tulman, said Love was late because she didn't know she would be required to appear.
Love, who also faces assault and felony drug charges in California, is due back in Manhattan Criminal Court Sept. 7.
