Lindsay Lohan Admits "Immaturity"
Lindsay Lohan has an explanation for her controversial behavior on the set of her movie "Georgia Rule": she's blaming it on her ex-boyfriend and her own immaturity.
"I was out too late a few of the times. I had a boyfriend. I was fighting with him," she said during an interview on Late Show with David Letterman Wednesday. "I was very immature. It was very irresponsible. And I understand that."
Jane Fonda, who plays Lohan's grandmother in the film, had an influence on the young actress. "She's incredible. She taught me a lot of things actually," said Lohan, laughing, "(such as) being on time."
Lohan admits that when she was a little girl dreaming of becoming an actress, she didn't think about the paparazzi and endless gossip about her personal life.
"It wasn't something that I thought about at the age of 7," she said. "It wasn't as terrible then as it can get now."
But the 20-year-old star is taking it all in stride.

"It's good. I'm having a great time," said Lohan. "I'm feeling good. I'm probably in one of the best places in my life. You have to be able to live your life and do what you want."
When asked by Letterman about Paris Hilton's 45-day jail sentence, Lohan responded, "It's terrible."
The talk show host also ran down a list of various rumors about Lohan, from whether she was ever punched by Hilton or if she ever took off her clothes at a nightclub. Lohan responded that all were false, except she admitted she does love eating at McDonald's.
"It's a guilty pleasure," she said.
The actress also confirmed that she plans to celebrate her 21st birthday in Las Vegas in July.
"I've never been allowed out anywhere in Vegas, they're so strict there," she said. "It makes sense."
"But I'm not eloping!" she added, laughing.
"Georgia Rule" also stars Felicity Huffman. The movie, which hits theaters May 11, focuses on three generations of women who learn about the power of redemption, freedom in forgiveness and the bonds of motherhood.
Lohan will play a stripper in the upcoming film "I Know Who Killed Me." She talked about taking stripping lessons for the movie, saying, "It's really difficult to get yourself up there."
