Leonardo DiCaprio set to play Woodrow Wilson in biopic

Woodrow Wilson is the latest president to get a biopic on the big screen.

Warner Bros. has picked up the feature rights to A. Scott Berg's biography of the 28th president, "Wilson," with Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly attached to star.

According to Variety, DiCaprio will also produce the film with his Appian Way partner Jennifer Davisson Killoran and Berg. No director is currently attached.

Berg's book was published last week to positive reviews. During a recent interview with CBS' "Sunday Morning" Borg told Mo Rocca, "Woodrow Wilson was an extremely emotional, romantic man. I don't think there's been a more emotionally turbulent presidency than Wilson's."

Wilson was elected president in 1912 and served two terms, leading the United States through World War I. Before being elected, he was president of Princeton University and served two years as governor of New Jersey.

DiCaprio was last seen on screen in Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of "The Great Gatsby." He's no stranger to biopics, having played Howard Hughes in "The Aviator" and J. Edgar Hoover in "J. Edgar."

He'll be seen next in Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street," which will be released on Nov. 15.
