LED screen falls at Fla. music fest site; 2 hurt

Updated 11:36 PM ET

MIAMI Event organizers say a large LED screen being set up for the Ultra Music Festival collapsed in downtown Miami, injuring several people.

Fire rescue workers responded to Bayfront Park Thursday evening and took victims to a nearby trauma center. An event spokeswoman says that the accident occurred during preparations for the festival. It wasn't immediately clear how badly the workers were hurt. The event spokeswoman confirmed that two workers were injured, but other media outlets, quoting fire rescue officials, were reporting up to three or four people injured.

CBS Station WFOR Miami reported that a safety inspector is en route to the scene to determine if the Ultra festival should go on or be postponed.

The annual outdoor electronic music festival is set to begin Friday and run over two weekends. Among those scheduled to perform are David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Deadmau5, Avicii and Snoop Dogg.
