PORTLAND, Ore. (CBS/AP) The father of missing Oregon 7-year-old Kyron Horman believes the boy's stepmother is involved in the disappearance.

That's what Kaine Horman told a judge in court documents, released Thursday, that were filed by Horman when he recently sought, and was granted, a restraining order against Terri Horman.

In those same documents, Kaine Horman said investigators told him that his now estranged wife had tried to hire someone to kill him.

Horman has filed for divorce from Terri Horman, believed to be the last person to have seen Kyron at his Portland school before he vanished after a science fair there on June 4. Authorities have not named Terri Horman as a suspect or a person of interest, although the case is considered a criminal investigation.

The documents in which Kaine Horman claims his estranged wife had a role in Kyron's disappearance were made public Thursday in response to a request from news organizations.
