Kristen Stewart buys new Los Angeles home

(MoneyWatch) After a cheating scandal and a very public break-up rocked her world, "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart is in the news again. According to Real Estalker and Zillow, the newly-single Stewart purchased a two-story home in Los Feliz for $2.195 million in August, right after her break up with co-star Robert Pattinson.

The home is reportedly just one and a half miles from Pattinson's home, the same one the couple shared before their split. Rumor has it that Pattinson and Stewart have rekindled their romance, but it's unclear whether -- or where -- they'll cohabitate.

Zillow says the home was built in 1957 and measures more than 3,000 square feet. It features four bedrooms with en suite baths, an additional half bath for guests and a master bedroom with a private sitting room and terrace. Though unassuming from the front, the home is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping and offers stunning views of the valley below.

The home has a Tuscan old-world vibe with wide planked wood floors, brick fireplaces and ceramic reddish-brown tile. The country house theme carries into the kitchen, where modern stainless-steel appliances mingle with rustic wood cabinetry and butcher block counter tops.

Notoriously private -- until her cheating scandal, of course -- Stewart opted for a home with outdoor space hidden from view. The back of the house is where the action is, with tree-top views, big porches and patios for lounging. Stewart's new digs also boast a lap-pool and spa, good for relaxing after a day of dodging paparazzi.

Pattinson's home, which he bought in September 2011 for $6.275 million, has a similar old-style vibe with its Spanish-style accents, so the décor and furniture Stewart moved out should fit into her new home perfectly. She was spotted leaving the home they shared in a U-Haul shortly after the news of her tryst with director Rupert Sanders broke.

Her ex-then-on-again boyfriend Pattinson supposedly sought refuge in Reese Witherspoon's Ojai, Calif. home, which is now on the market for $10 million.
