Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries get married, why we shouldn't care about their wedding
(CBS) - We'll spare you the details on the gown, cake and guest list... Because, let's be honest, should we really care that reality TV personality Kim Kardashian tied the knot this weekend with New Jersey Nets basketball player Kris Humphries?
Kardashian and Humphries are no Kate and William. Although some may argue they're practically American royalty with a reigning empire (Kardashian) and baller status (Humphries). The couple is reportedly making nearly $18 million for their wedding extravaganza (courtesy of the media), in fact. And, wedding designer great Vera Wang comped the 30-year-old bride's gown. (You'd never charge a princess, would you? Just think of all the publicity!)
Although many celebrities are tweeting their congrats, including actress Eva Longoria, E! host Giuliana Rancic and tennis star Serena Williams, others - famous folks and non-famous folks alike - are expressing their distaste for the event and the fact that it was deemed breaking news over the weekend via Twitter. (Ugh - we're guilty, too - see.)
