Police Chief Tom Bergamine said at a news conference that the 2-day search led to no new leads in their efforts to find the 23-year-old Army private, reports CBS affiliate WRAL.

Bordeaux was last seen leaving a Fayetteville bar around 1:20 a.m. on April 14. Officials at Fort Bragg reported her missing to police 2days later when she didn't show up for duty.

WRAL reports that a dive team began searching the pond in Eastover, about 8 miles from the bar, Wednesday after receiving a tip. They resumed their search Thursday morning, but called it off around noon.

According to the station, Bergamine said detectives are still treating Bordeaux's disappearance as an active missing person's case but that they have "grave concerns" about her well-being.

On Wednesday, authorities interviewed 25-year-old Nicholas Holbert, a registered sex offender who said he drove Bordeaux home the night she disappeared. Police haven't said whether Holbert is a person of interest or suspect in the case, WRAL reports.

Police and military authorities also searched Wednesday along Ramsey street and the bar where Bordeaux was last seen.

Police say they are now planning to return to the bar and search the vicinity again.

Bordeaux is assigned as a health service specialist with the 601st Area Support Medical Company, 261st Multifunctional Medical Battalion, 44th Medical Brigade. She has blond hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a pink tank top and black shorts, police said. She is described as 5-foot-1, weighing 102 pounds.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is being urged to call police at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477).
