NEW YORK (CBS) Kathryn Echols, a central Florida woman charged with having sex with a 17-year-old boy, was arrested again Wednesday for violating the terms of her bond by venturing to California, reported the Orlando Sentinel.

There was speculation that Echols, who's 33, had fled to California to be with the 17-year-old with whom she allegedly had sex; however, Echols' attorney, Matthews Bank, would not confirm whether she had indeed left Florida to be with the teenager, stated the Orlando Sentinel.

On Wednesday, Echols was making her first  required court appearance in the case, when she was arrested again for the alleged bond violation.

The boy's parents alerted prosecutors last week, telling them that their son had run away and they believed him to be with Echols in California, according to the newspaper.

Echols, who is married, was originally arrested April 15. She faces three felony charges for having sex with the 17-year-old on three separate occasions - in February, March and April, reported the Sentinel.
