The Sun reports that Prince William's fiancee is thought to have chosen the fashion house after friend Sara Buys wore an ivory silk McQueen gown when she wed Tom Parker Bowles, son of Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, in 2005.
Burton, 36, worked closely with McQueen for years and took over as the label's creative director after the designer committed suicide last year.

Burton and the company's chief executive denied the report to the Sunday Times, and the royal family's Clarence House office declined to comment.
Other designers names that have been mentioned include Bruce Oldfield, Philippa Lepley and Daniela Issa Helayel.
