Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, dons glamorous gray at London gala
(CBS News) The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out solo in London on Monday, attending a charity gala sans husband Prince William.
Kate, 30, donned a dove gray dress with an asymmetrical neckline by Roksanda Ilincic for the Creative Industries reception, held in support of Britain's GREAT campaign.

She first wore the Serbian-born designer's dress when she and Prince William arrived in Los Angeles last year as part of their North American tour, the Daily Mail notes. This time, she completed the look with gray suede heels, Kiki McDonough earrings and her hair pulled up in a chignon.
The duchess was greeted at the gala by British Prime Minister David Cameron before he gave a speech, in which he referenced Friday's opening ceremony for the London Olympic Games.
According to British reports, Cameron turned to the duchess and quipped, "My favourite part of the opening ceremony was when your husband leant over and said to me, 'I don't know if you know, Prime Minister, but my grandmother is a great fan of [rapper] Dizzee Rascal.'"
The comment prompted "howls of laughter" from the crowd, including Kate, the Daily Mail reports.
Earlier Monday, Kate joined William and Prince Harry to watch their cousin Zara Phillips - Princess Anne's daughter and the eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II - compete with Britain's equestrian eventing team. The trio cheered Phillips on again Tuesday, when she helped Britain win a silver medal in the three-day event.
